ART FOR A CAUSE: Making Caps and Burp Cloths for Area NewbornsDATE: Thursday, September 24
TIME: 6:30-9:30pm
INSTRUCTOR: Rachelle Branum
COST: $5 suggested donation
Be a modern-day Rosie the Riveter! Give back to your community while feeding your creative spirit and working side-by-side with your girlfriends. We will be designing simple newborn jersey knot hats (out of recycled t-shirt fabric) and burp cloths with flair. All work created during this Ladies’ Night Out will be donated to newborn babies at Winneshiek Medical Center. No sewing experience necessary. If you can cut and pin, come join the assembly line for the first of hopefully many artful acts of kindness.

TIME: Thursday: 6:30-8:30pm, Saturday: 10:00-11:00am (finishing touches & pick-up)

COST: $40/person (includes all materials to make two pieces of jewelry)
ArtHaus welcomes local glass artist Kris Henderson to our studio as she leads you in the unique artistic process of creating fused glass jewelry. Learn to design and create beautiful and colorful pieces of jewelry to give as gifts or keep for yourself!

Bring a friend and together you can create handmade signature stationary or holiday cards while learning techniques you can replicate in the future. Design your own handmade stamp that can be used again and again, explore specialty papers and decorative inks as you unleash your creative spirit.

Bring your girlfriends and be the first to have a sneak peak of artful objects created by amazing local talent while you enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee and some light hors d’oeuvres. Start or finish your holiday shopping while supporting local artists. Be the first to enjoy this beautiful array of jewelry, pottery, photography, notecards, fiber work and much more. Your handmade purchases not only support our local economy but also our thriving community of artists of all ages.
