Thrifty Threads: Design a Handbag or Giftbag out of Vintage Ties

Tell your grandmother to save grandpa’s old ties – we’ll turn those heirloom thrift-store finds and fashion faux pas into works of art! Whether you're looking for a fun gift bag for a bottle of wine or a new handbag that's sure to be a conversation starter, join Alyssa Ritter for an enjoyable evening creating fun and functional works of art. Sewing experience is welcomed but not necessary. Bring your sewing machine, or use one of ours.

JEWELRY CLASS: Pendant-Making

COST: $35/person (includes all materials to make several pendants)

Pendants made out of scrabble or glass tiles are all the rage! Create your own unique pendants to string on leather, ribbon, or chain. We’ll have decorative papers, photographs and other fun materials for inspiration, but feel free to bring your own keepsake photographs or favorite images to work with. Whether your taste is fun and funky or delicate and beautiful, you will discover a new technique to create one-of-a-kind pendants to give as gifts or keep for yourself!
